Our programs are supportive , not clinical. 2.Assumption of Risk - Participation in Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association events and Programs such as Camp Heal-A-Heart, Circle of Life, and Follow-up Groups involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: Physical activities and outdoor environments, emotional discussions related to grief and loss, group-based programming. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities.

3.Limitation of Liability - To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association and its Programs Camp Heal-A-Heart, Circle of Life, Follow-up Group, its Directors, staff, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from: Use of this website, Participation in any program or event, reliance on information provided by the organization.

4. No Guarantees of Outcomes - Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association and its Programs strives to provide meaningful support; however, we do not guarantee any specific emotional, psychological, or personal outcomes from participation in our programs.

About Us - Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association is a nonprofit organization providing grief support programs for children 5yrs- 16yrs old and families.

Use of Website - you agree to: Use this Site Lawfully, Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the Site. Not copy or reuse content without permission.

Program Registration - By registering for programs: you confirm all information provided is accurate, you agree to complete required waivers and consent forms, we reserve the right to accept or decline participation.

Payments & Donations - Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, payments may be processed through third-party providers. We do not store full payment details.

Intellectual Property - All Content (Logos, Text, Images) belongs to Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association unless stated otherwise.

Governing Law - These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada. 2026

2. Privacy Policy - Information we collect: We may collect, Names, Emails, Phone numbers, Child participation information, Emergency contacts, Health or support- related details (only when voluntarily provided)

How we use information - We use your information to : Register participants, Communicate about programs, Ensure safety and proper care, improve our services.

Protection of Information - We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services - We may use third-party tools (payment processors, email platforms). These providers have their own privacy policies.

Consent - By using this Site or registering, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined.

Parental Responsibility - Parents/ legal guardians must: Determine suitability for participation. Disclose relevant health or behavioral concerns.

Photo & Media Release - By participating in Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association and its Programs, you grant permission for photographs, video recordings, or media content to be used for: Promotional materials, social media, website content, fundraising efforts. If you do not consent, you must notify us in writing prior to participation. We will never identify children by full name without explicit consent.

5. Medical & Emergency Consent - By registering a child, you acknowledge: you have disclosed relevant medical information, you authorize staff/ volunteers to seek emergency medical care if necessary. You understand reasonable efforts will be made to contact you first. You agree Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association or its Programs is not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed conditions.

6. Code of Conduct - Participants agree to: Treat others with respect, follow staff instructions, Maintain a safe and inclusive environment. Camp Heal a Heart reserves the right to remove participants if behavior is unsafe or disruptive.

7. Cancellation & refund policy - Donations are Non-refundable. Program fees (if applicable) may be refundable only if cancellation is made within 7 days prior to the event. No refunds for missed attendance unless otherwise stated. Exceptions may be made at our discretion.

8. Volunteer Disclaimer - Volunteers: Participate at their own risk, Must follow all policies and training, Must be required to complete a clean background check and child intervention check. Camp Heal a Heart is not liable for injuries or losses incurred during volunteer activities.

9. Third-party links - We may link external websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Changes to terms - We may update these policies at any time. Continued use of the Site means you accept those changes.
