ABOUT US
Our Circle of Life program is offered to schools in Grande Prairie and Districts, teaching kids emotional regulation, understanding feelings, and coping skills. This free program is especially beneficial for children who have experienced death, divorce, separation, or fostering. Additionally, our Follow-up Group helps bridge the compassion care gap for children who have attended Camp Heal-A-Heart. Through enjoyable group activities and therapy sessions, we aim to strengthen the bonds formed at camp.
OUR PROGRAMS
Grande Prairie and District Grief Support Association is a non-profit organization in Grande Prairie, Alberta. We are dedicated to supporting children and youth through our specialized programs. Our signature program Camp Heal-A-Heart, provides a safe space for children and youth to heal through grief support, (Trauma informed care approach) Therapeutic activities, and peer connection in a camp setting. Our Motto is "Wellness through Healthy grieving" that guides everything we do. Isolation is one of the biggest challenges in grief, our programs are designed to ensure no child feels alone in their journey.
